Foundation Repair using the CST Chemical Grout Injection Process

CST is the sole provider of the CST polyurethane chemical grout injection process, a no-excavation foundation repair process.  The CST system is used to stabilize weak and poorly compacted soils underneath your structure’s slab.

The primary cause of foundation problems has to do with the support soils underneath the slab.  With soil collapse, erosion, expansion, or degradation, the foundation can be compromised and will lose adequate density to support the slab.  With Polyurethane chemical grout injection, the soils will be densified and compacted while being able to lift the foundation back to grade.

We do this by drilling small 5/8″ holes around and through the slab (as appropriate) and insert metal tubes into the weak soil zones.   We then inject a high-density structural polymer and compact and densify the soils, thereby forming a weight bearing, light weight structure underneath the slab.

The process is quick and cost-effective, and can be used in a variety of challenging environments, including:

  • Wet and saturated conditions
  • Sandy and loosely compacted soils
  • Peaty and marshy environments
  • Significant voids

The polymers set to 95% capacity within 15 minutes and are completely set within 24 hours.
